Problem Solving

we are learning to solve maths problem . There are 18 pieces of fruit in the fruit bowl and 5 of them are bananas . if all the remaining pieces of fruit are apples , are how many apples are There?

    Excellent problem!

    If there are 18 pieces of fruit and we take away the 5 bananas, that would leave us with 13 apples.

    18 - 5 = 13

    So my answer is 13.
