The Giant Soup

Giant Soup      retold by  Sabrina Fifita

Once there was a giant. He was so fat. One day his mother was going on a holiday. He said, “Mum what am I going to eat?” His mum said,” You can make soup.” Once his mum was off on her holiday the giant made some soup. The things that were in his soup were heaps of onions, carrots and a beef bone. When he tasted his soup it was no good. He put on his sneakers and went off to get a boy to put in the soup.

After awhile the giant found a boy. The boy’s name was Jason. He was walking home from school. He was reading a cookbook. He got caught by the giant. After the giant had caught Jason he took him back to his house and put him in the pot of soup. Jason said, “You don’t know how to make soup. This soup is cold. Turn on the  stove. ‘’That’s better’’said Jason. He drank a bit more but it was still no good. It needed salt and pepper in it. “That’s better,” said Jason.
Jason drank a bit more and the giant said “Stop you are eating all the soup’’ the giant cried. He took Jason out of the pot and Jason was very happy not to be eaten by the giant.
